SCHOOL FEE CONCESSIONS DRAFT POLICY

St Brigid's Primary School has been established to serve the education in Faith needs of children of the Catholic families of Nerang Parish.

As such, no child should be denied assess to a Catholic Education at St Brigid's for financial reasons.

Concessions may be granted to families providing the following criteria is met:

• The Principal or Parish Priest must be informed and convinced of the genuine financial need of the family.
• Each family needs, in justice, to make some contribution to tuition costs.
• The meeting of commitments is prioritised as follows:
  1. Building Contribution of $220 per year
  2. General Purpose levies of $100 per student to a maximum of $200
  3. School fees of $600 per student to a maximum of $800 per family.
  4. Pre-School - $400 to a maximum of $860 per family.

Procedures:

1. Parents requiring concessions should arrange an interview with either the Parish Priest or Principal.
2. A School Charges Concession form is completed at the interview. This form requires a brief description of circumstances and agreement about arrangements.
3. Confidential consultation occurs between Parish Priest and Principal.
4. Parents are informed once the Concession arrangements are confirmed.
